The latest launch by Nearmap offers high-resolution aerial imagery solutions dedicated for landscapers. The product will also be helpful for infrastructure works. The patented camera system of Nearmap called HyperCamera has been mounted on a fixed-wing aircraft. Nearly 430 rural areas are under coverage in United States. The imagery processed contains both top down view and isometric view at an angle. So this is actually an aerial imagery tool. This will be a better alternative to the drone system as the area under coverage is vast. Moreover, drones can only be used for specific projects and also there is a lot more complexity in terms of the software being used.
The tool is basically a cloud based software and is called MapBrowser. The collected imagery data is stored in in cloud and it can be accessed by any browser. The tool also offers landscapers to take accurate measurements in the images. There are also several other served by the product. MapBrowser also helps to create site measurements which make it easy for landscapers to make accurate estimates minimizing the number of manual site visits.
